Our project uses NO AI
The current book market is flooded with 'AI written' books. Mostly, there are two reasons.
1) People want to make 'easy money'.
I don't think that any 'easy money' can be made with AI tools. After all, there are already so many books on various topics, why would anyone care about mediocre AI slop? Perhaps you would be best off to take your grift elsewhere, away from art. People who like to read books immediately recognise an unoriginal work of art when they see it. Besides, you are stealing. AI is collecting various art from all over the internet, and puts it together into some grey mass that hurts my eyes and gives me headaches. AI doesn't credit the stolen art, and you don't deserve a cent if anyone ever bought your book. Think about it: Do you want to become a corrupt person for maybe 5€/$ or whatever your currency is?
2) People are scared of commiting to their own book. They claim that they either don't have the time nor the skills to write one.
You should rather write a bad or unfinished book, than any AI book. Art is an expression of the soul. Your soul is a collection of memories, feelings, experiences; a special something that is unique in the entire's world existence, both in space and time. And it is flawed. Very imperfect. And so will be your book. Perhaps you have no sense for pacing, no wide range of vocabulary, maybe crippling depression. And yet, if you care about writing and want to be a writer, just write. So what if you don't know how to begin your book, or how to end and publish it? It's not about selling your book, it's about expressing something that no one ever will express. Besides, many intellectuals write hasty drawer books to give themselves an overview of what they think and believe in. As an author, try to write something authentic, rather than something 'good'. Just write. AI will just suck you dry of your confidence and creativity. Be yourself and write yourself.
Our entire project does NOT use any generative AI. I've been coordinating this project since August 2023. It has been hard. So much time sunk into research, reading paper by paper, book by book. Interviewing my family, collecting and scanning over 600+ documents. Writing tons of words, besides my usual life and responsibilities. I have sacrificed so much time, even some physical and mental health on occasion. You could call it 'foolish' even, if you had seen in what ways I made time for my book. Yet it is worth it. Everything you see on this website, and in my manuscript, is fully original work. And it is something I am very proud of. I am proud of our original contributions to history, and of the little flaws that make our art human.
